CANTERBURY TURF NOTES [Specui. to the ‘ Star.'] CHRISTC'iIL'I’CH, January 31. It was reported during the progress of the recent meeting at Trentham that the Wellington Stakes would be Honour’s last race this season,_ The crack Limond two-year-old is being kept in work, however, so it seems probable the programme will bo altered. Apart from her New Zealand engagements, Honour figures in the Sires’ Produce Stakes and. the Champagne Stakes at the Australian Jockey Club’s Autuvm Meeting, so possibly a trip to Sydney is in contemplation at Easter. With Aussie as an opponent in the Hazlett Cup at the approaching Dunedin Meeting F. D. Jones is leaving nothing undone to have Limerick "at his best for his Wingatni engagement. Mr H. A. Knight’s champion is striding along in good style, and from the nature°of his tasks he should be ready to show bis best form. Paperchaso has done a lot of good work lately, and she should be in excellent order for her engagements near at hand. She looks like claying a prominent part in the Publicans’ Handicap at the Dunedin Meeting.
