GROCERS’ PICNIC

PLEASANT DAY AT OUTRAN With the improved weather conditions Outram, after the light showers on Sunday night, was quite a beautiful spot for the grocers’ forty-fifth annual picnic on Monday last. By special train close on 500 excursionists made their way to the grounds, where everything was ideal. The generosity of the linns was demonstrated in practical manner, the children being catered for with sweets, toys, and prizes for the large variety of races. The sports programme was carried through without a hitch, the success being due largely in the efficient way in which the president, Mr A. Edgar, and his committee worked.
