GHOULISH DEED
RAID ON FAMILY VAULT Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. MELBOURNE, December 19. A grim discovery was made by the sexton of the cemetery at Geelong, which contains a largo vault or a wealthy family, in which there arc fifteen coffins, with space for nine more. The sexton discovered that somebody had raided n. couple of the coffins, apparently for jewels which arc believed to have been buried with the bodies. The coffins wore badly damaged, and some of the mountings were stolen. The soxton stated that the lock had Been off the vault for some time. Another allegation is that the vault had hoen used by drinking parties.
