WAIKATO TROT PROTEST
The Waikato Trotting Club’s Committee yesterday considered the protest lodged by C. G. Lee, of Auckland, against Anselm being placed second in tho Visitors’ Handicap at the recent meeting of the club, on the ground that Anselm had started off 72yds instead of 84yds, the horse having been rehandicapped 12yds for a dead heat for first with Uncle Bert in the Stewards’ Handicap earlier in the day. T. Allen, tho owner and driver of Anselm, was fined £5 for starting off tho wrong mark. Nelson Dillon, driven by Lee, who also owns him, was placed second, and Nclla Dillon third.
