A POWERFUL LITTLE SHIP
Captain Melville has great faith m tho capabilities of the City of New York. Sho is a powerful little vessel. He has never stepped aboard a better sea boat. He expects she will prove equal to the difficulties that may be experienced in the Antarctic. Tho trip from Otago to Ross Sea will probably take three weeks. Much depends on the- weather. Tho auxiliary engines will be invaluable amongst tho iccT The vessel h splendidly equipped in all respects. Captain Melville says his crew are fired with enthusiasm to make the expedition successful. They are a fine bnneb of men.
