VAUDEVILLE TRIALS
The amateur vaudeville trials we,'9 concluded at. the Princess Theatre mi .Saturday night. Taken all round, tlio performers were given a much letter nearing than on the first night, although two of the male aspirants wcio not too kindly received. _ The dancer from On mum changed ins name and appeared as a girl _in an Egyptian dance, the explanation of the character of the dance being given hy the announcer after the act “for the information of the audience.” The audience gave him and one of the comedians a rowdy hearing. The results of the various competitions were as follow -11 amorous monologues, Miss An* me Patten; best all-round dancers, Misses Prances Jiryan and Doreen Thomas (equal); ballad singing. Mr George Proctor; best singing of ‘Humana,’ Messrs J. Norton and A. Crawford (equal); comic_ song, Mr S. fit. Claire; best vaudeville acts, Mr Jl. Dalzinll and Miss Lnrmi Ihulge; daneo trio, the KekhofF sisters and Miss Edna Todd'.
