■To establish his poetic merit the Turkish poet Kiazim Bey, of Konia, has had his brain X-rayed. The radiologists agreed that it showed exceptional ‘ weight, and striking convolutions. The poet has sent photographs oh tho report to all his critics. A prehistoric astronomical observatory, which if is estimated was constructed in 1181 Ji.o., has been unearthed at Biictzow, Mecklenburg. The observatory is in the form of circles cf stones, which served for the observation of the, annual circuit of the sun and also as a calendar.'
