A MEMBER HONOURED
[Per United Press Association.] ELTHAM, November 26, Mr H. 11. Jenkins, 'M.P. for Parnell, was accorded a civic reception this morning. He was t!io first white child horn in this district, and spent his early life in Eltbam. The mayor (Mr Bridge) presided, and there was a gathering of about sixty citizens. Speeches congratulating the guest on his election to Parliament were made by Mr Bridger, Sir Walter Carucross (Speaker of the Legislative . Council), Mr C. A. Wilkinson (M.P. for Egmont), and Mr (deputychairman of the County Council). Mr Jenkins expressed his gratification at the heartiness of his reception, and returned thanks for the congratulations.
