(Received November 24, at 10 a.m.) At the wool sales 8,728 bales were sold, of which 3,793 were Australian and 3,506 New Zealand. There was an excellent selection of merinos, suitable for all sections of the trade, and good offerings of slipos, scoured cross-brods, and a few greasios. There was animated competition by all sections and practically no withdrawals. Prices were fully maintained. —Australian Press Association. 'The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., has received tho* following cable from London dated the 23rd inst.: —Market stronger for cross-bred greasy wool, cross-bred scoured wool, cross-bred slipo wool; 7$ per cent, to 10 per cent, higher.
