The Public Works Department wrote regarding a proposed sheep bridge at Nenthorn Stream. Tho department desired to know what amount tlio council would contribute towards tho cost. — The council adhered to its previous decision on this matter. The Otago Electric Power Board, Dunedin, wrote regarding a petition that had been in circulation throughout tho Otago Central districts. The ’enquired 25 per cent, nad been iorthcoming. A statutory declaration for completion was enclosed. —Clerk to attend. Tho Jubileo Coal Company asked permission to pub a drive under tho old Brighton road. It would ho built to tlu"Mines Department’s requirements. —Agreed to, so long as the requirements of the Alines Department wore complied with. A, E. Scorgio wrote thanking tho council for the assistance promised in getting out stono for a road, and suggesting February next for tlio work, when his men and teams would be free for the cartage of material to tlio road, —Noted. J. F, Aubrey (Clarks Junction) wrote asking permission to put up a post and arm on the roadside near his gate, for delivery of his private mad bag. —Granted. GENERAL.
