ANGLICAN MUSICAL CLUB

On Wednesday evening the Anglican Musical Club paid a visit to the Benevolent Institution, Cavorsham. The club gave splendid renderings ol tho lollowing glees and part songs Kriskny Lo”e J jilt‘Londonderry Air,’ ‘Can Yo Sew Cushions j 1 ’ ‘ Moonlight,’ ‘Old Mother Hubbard,’ and the ‘Viking Song.’ A pleasing item by the ladies of the party was ‘ La Carita ’ (Rossini), the soloist being Miss Frecba Allan. Airs Moss gave, a recitation entitled ‘ i’addy’s Courtship,’ and vocal solos were rendered by Mr It. C. Bond, Air Robinson, and Mrs Greenwood. After tho concert in the main hall a visit was paid to tho hospital "yards, where several glees and part songs were sung, and the pleasure tho company’s elforts gave to tho inmates and patients fully compensated tho performers. Tho concerted items were conducted by Air Axel Newton in a very cfiieient manner, and tho accompanist, Aliss Alona Bruton, was deserving of special thanks. At tho conclusion of tho concert tho Rev. V. G. Bryan King, in a humorous speech, returned thanks on behalf of tho inmates and staff of the institution. The other clergy present were the Revs. S. J. Cooper and G. E. Aloreton.
