Tlw annual meeting of the Drainage Board and Corporation Picnic Committee was iield last evening in the Y.M.C.A. buildings, the president (Mr S. Hawes) occupying tlio chair. The following office-bearers were elected:— President, Mr S. Hawes; vice-presi-dents, Messrs W. Nelson and G. Paul; secretary and treasurer, Mr J. P. Rees; assistant secretary, Mr N. Weir; general committee —Messrs S. Hawes, W. Nelson, G. Paul, W. Dunn, H. Leighton, R. M'Mecking, J. Corbett, W. M'Allan, J. Honfetnn, G. Jenkins, U. Paterson, J. Halford, J. M'Gregor, T. (ireig. N. Weir, T. Jones, W. Elliott, C. M'Lareu, C. Isaacs, W. Coulter, and E. Drake; sports handicapper, 51 r H. Paterson; auditors, Messrs'J. Corbett- and J. MCNary; trustees, Messrs J. Houston and K. Leighton; canvasser, Mr G, Paul. It was decided to hold tho annual picnic at Evansdalo on February 2, and tho secretary was instructed to apply to tho City 'Council for permission to use that date as a holiday, Tho question of securing the services of a band for the picnic was held over until nest ingIluv Itadium Polishes for Floors, Metals, ami support an industry exclusively .Now Zealand owned.
