PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN (hat the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board, at a Special Meeting convened for the purpose, and held on Wednesday, the 31st day ol October, 1928, passed tho -following Resolution by way ot Special Order—viz.Pursuant to ' tiro provisions of " The Dunedin District Drainage and Sewerage Act, 1900," and its Amendments, tho Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board hereby resolves, so that this resolution may be confirmed at a subsequent meetin" of the Board ami operate as a Special Order in terms of Section 21 of tho aforesaid Act -is follows—that is to say: 1. That the said Board hereby resolves to raise a Loan of £90,000 (ninety thousand pounds), being the final instalment of it sum of £230,000 for which the Board obtained statutory authority to borrow in terms of " The Dunedin District Drainage and Sewerage Amendment Act, 1925,” a first instalment of £IOO,OOO and a second instalment of £60,000 having been previously raised. 2. That the term of tho said Joan of £90,000 be fourteen years (14) from the 30lh day of March. 1929 3. That tho security for the interest and sinking fund and the repayment of the said special loan be a special nually recurring Rate of One Penny Farthing (lid) in the Pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of tho annual value) of all rateable property of the district, comprising the whole of the pity of Dunedin and tho Borough of St. Kilda. 4. That a sinking fund of One Pound (£1) per centum per annum on tho amount of the said loan be established in connection with the same, and that the amount of such sinking fund be paid to the Sinking Fund Commissioners to be appointed for that purpose on tho 30th day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loans, being a period of 14 years or until the loan is fully paid off, of which sinking fund the first payment shall bo made on the 30th day of March, 1930. 5. That tho said Special Loan of £90,000 bo raised by tho issue of debentures in the form prescribed by the aforesaid Act, and that each such debenture shall bear interest at a rate not exceeding five and "one-half per centum per annum, payable half-yearly on tho 30th day of September and the 30th day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan or until such loan is fully paid off, and that coupons ho annexed to each such debenture accordingly, and that the said debentures and coupons be payable at any branch of the Bank of New' Zealand within the Dominion of New Zealand free of exchange to the holder, thereof. 6. That the Corporate Seal of the Board bo affixed to all such. debentures, and that all such debentures and coupons bo signed by the Chairman and counlersigned by the Secretary, but so that their respective signatures to tho coupons may bo lithographed on tho coupons. And Notice Is Hereby Further Given that the said Resolution will be submitted to an Ordinary Meeting of tho said Board to bo held at the Town Hall, Dunedin, on WEDNESDAY, tho 28th day of November, 1928, for confirmation as a Special Order.
