WHERE THERE'S PROHIBITION THERE'S TROUBLE
Practically every day’s news contains fresh evidence of the havoc wrought by Prohibition. Finland is tho sole remaining Prohibition country besides the United States. The following cabled report is illuminating— CRIME IN FINLAND. An Australian Press Association message from Helsingfors, states that the Finnish Government’s analysis of crime for the .year reveals that, despite Prohibition, out of 168,000 arrests 123,000 were variously for drunkenness, the illegal possession of alcohol, and bootlogging. —‘ Evening Post,’ 29/10/28. Finland’s population is little more than twice that of New Zealand. Finland, under Prohibition, has 168,000 arrests in a year. New Zealand, under Continuance, has less than onetwentieth the number, including arrests under all headings. Prohibition creates a criminal’s paradise. Keep it out by voting Continu-, anew.
