BROADCASTING IN ENGLAND KING'S PHOTOGRAPH FIRST. Tress Association—By Telegraph—Copyright, LONDON, October 28. A photograph of the King will be transmitted from Davcntry fo-morrow to inaugurate picture broadcast by official wireless. Each picture will occupy four minutes, and will be accompanied by a noise described ns a sort of musical movoc.—Australian Press Association.
[A previous; message stated that as the result of technical experiments made with the wireless transmission of stilt pictures by the British Broadcasting: Corporation and the General Post Office a short picture transmission will he made every day from Daventry ' !>XX) outside the regular programme hours, beginning in October. If and when there is sufficient public demand for still pictures radiated in this way the transmission will be included in the regular programme hours. The fultograph system will be used. This should not be confused with what is commonly known as television, which is in no way involved in this series of experiments.]
