SECOND DAY. Ideal conditions prevailed for the conclusion of the Auckland Trotting Club’s Spring Meeting. The track was in excellent order, and there was a large attendance for an off-day. Results:— Grcenlane Trot Handicap, SOOspvs. Um—3 Etta Cole (36yds, Gilchrist) ]' 2 Lonesome (scr) 2, 1 Bright, Light (60yds) 3. All started. Won by two and a-hall lengths; hah a length. Time, 3min 35 l-ssec Newmarket Handicap, 3(Xfeovs. l*m. —2 Laplander (12yds F. G. Ho mes) 1, 7 Van Rich (,24yds) 2, 1 Great Peter (24yds) 3. Scratched, Nelsftn Dillon Won by one and a-half lengths 5 hali a length. Time 3min 27 l-sscc.
