(Received October 11, at 10 a.m.) A decree has been issued authorising the road police to collect on the spot motoring tines, ranging from Ills lu £1 -Is. The otfender will sign an acknowledgment of his conviction. The regulations provide for an _ ordinary prosecution where anything but pecuniary punishment or damages is involved, or in eases where the offender has been previously convicted of a similar offence, otherwise the culprit has the choice of a lino on the spot or of a court hearing.—Australian Press Association.
