DOUBLE TRAGEDY

MAH AND WIFE MISSING FROM YACHT LONDON. July 12. Tho police dragged the River Yare at Buckenham Ferry, Norfolk, yesterday in the hope of finding the bodies of Mr George A mold _ Block-ley and his wife, who were cruising on the yacht Azalea, and are thought to have fallen or to have been knocked off tho boat during the strong wind on Friday afternoon.

On board the yacht with them were Miss_ Bond, Mrs Bleckley’s sister, and a child of four. About 5 o’clock on the previous afternoon a woman was observed shouting on the Azalea, and a man was seen scrambling out of tho water. • The police were notified, but when they arrived the Azalea had no one on board. It is said that other yachts which had been in the vicinity had gone, and Miss Bond and the child had been taken on board one of them. After the disaster Miss Bond was too distressed to tell how the accident happened. It is reported, however, from Oulton that the sail of the Azalea swung over in a strong wind and swept Mrs Blockley into the water, and that Mr Blockley, hnvivm in to her rescue, was drowned with her. Mr and Mrs Blockley belonged to Fleetwood, and wore aged about thirty.
