The arable land decrease amounts to 199,000 acres, iho area under crops and permanent grass decrease to 86,000 acres, and the sugarbeet decrease to 4,720 acres. The increases are in barley, oats, and vegetables. There are also decreases in cattle and sheep, the number of the latter being 16,386,100 —a decrease of 686,200.—Australian Press Association.
