Beach ringworm, which has occurred at several bathing centres, has been diagnosed in Sydney as a form of the fungus disease tinia or tinia alba, otherwise known as the dhobie itch. It is common in Egypt, where probably the Australian troops were infected. Wellknown medical men in Fiji and the Rockefeller Institute investigated tho trouble, and several well-known remedies have been recommended by Fiji medical experts.
