BENEFIT CONCERT
iNdt a single seat was vacant in the Princess Theatre hast evening, when a most enjoyable and successful concert was arranged in order to assist a local family who are in destitute circumstances. Permission to hold the concert was given by the City Council, and the Fuller management kindly permitted the *se of its theatre. As a result of the appeal the sum of £SO was raised. An excellent and varied programme comprised items by artists from tire George Ward Snapshot Revue Company and by local pertomers was presented .and fully appreciated. The most popular number was the one presented by Misses Barnes and Sharpe, ol the revue company, who_ sang ‘ Breeze * with their own 'mandolin accompaniment. ■ The Four Little Kellys made a good impression with their instrumental numbers, and the local icrformers who contributed were Miss Roma Bu.ss (soprano). Miss Mollie Andrews (inczzo-sopi'i*m), Mr Ted Tuohy (baritone!, Airs ,1 , If amor (soprano), and Mr A. Codings (banjo).
