FIRST PRIZE FOR BOYS
A PEEP AT JACK iICBBS LONDON, July 20. “ I should reserve this as a prize tor the best boys,” said the Prince ot Wales as he peeped through a circular window commanding an enticing view /if the Oval Cricket Ground. It was on the top floor of the new building of Archbishop Tenisou’s Grammar School, which the Prince opened. All the windows of the school are fitted with obscure glass excepting the one through which the Prince looked. The architect explained that this was done, uot because the Oval authorities objected to a free view of a game, but because ho did not want the attention of the boys distracted. The Prince’s request tor ail extension of the summer holidays was greeted with such prolonged cheering that it caused the Prince to remark: “It sounds as if Hobbs has scored another' century.”
