V. BRICKBATS AND BOBBINS CALCUTTA, July 20. A riot occurred at the Fort Gloucester jute mills in the Howrah (Bengal) area, owing to tho dismissal of four men. On the situation getting out of hand, tho police fired, twenty-three mill hands being injured, two seriously, A dozen police were also injured by brickbats, bobbins, «ind shuttles. This mill is near tho Ludlow jute mill, where there were recently several strikes.
