TOM HEENEY
GREATLY IMPROVED FIGHTER “ AS HARD AS A BRICK WALL " THE NEW ZEALANDER FIT. [Paa United Press Association.} WELLINGTON, July 21. A message picked up from J. Heeney, brother of T. Heeney, states that the latter is now a different fighter altogether. Ho got quite a shock at tho improvement in him. He was always pretty 'fast, but now he was like lightning, and was hitting like a steam hammer. When his blows landed they stung. - Ho is quicker both in attack and defence, and is mighty hard to hit at all. “ Even if you do land you don’t hurt him. He is as hard as a brick wall.”
Heeney sends a message to his people at Gisborne that he is pretty fit, and is not going to disgrace them. “ I am right after that title, and I hope the next news will be that I am bringing the championship to Gisborne,”
