SOUTH ISLAND TEAM CHOSEN. Tiio South Island Rugby League selectors (Messrs Worrall, of Canterbnrv, and Watson, ol Otago) havo chosen the following players to represent the South Island against the North Eland at Carlaw Park, Auckland, on Ju I v 2S: — Full-back. Blazcy (Otago); threequarters—Clydesdale (Otago), B. Eckhoff (Otago), Davidson (Canterhury); five-eighths Spillano (Canterbury), Robins (captain. West Coast); halfback. Woods (Canterbury); forwards— Woodguto (Canterbury), Townsend (Otago). Collie (Canterbury), O’Brien (West Coast), T. O'Connor (Otago), and Goodhall (Bnllor); emergencies— Quinn (Otago). Stuart (Canterbury). On the following Wednesday the fixture ITobablcs v. Rossibk* will bo placed. After this the team to represent New Zealand against the Englishmen in the first test at Auckland on August 1 will 'bo picked.
