PRAISE FOR PRIMATE
DEVELOPMENT OF CHURCH KNOWLEDGE OF DOMINIONS. LONDON, July 4. ‘The Times,’ in an article on the Archbishop ol Canterbury, Dr Randall Davidson, says that as head ol the rhureh in its Prayer Book debates, the primate has been immovably and, jnst as endlessly, patient, Iriondly, and human; but his development of the church in its wider relations is oven more remarkable. Nobody can be compared with Dr Davidson in his exact knowledge ol Anglican affairs throughout the world. Bishops from Australia, Canada, and Japan are continually being astonished by his acquaintance with their problems. Simultaneously the Lambeth party became the centre of Die Anglican Free Church gatherings, which did much to bring the loaders of different bodies m closer contact.
