TIMARU, July 16.
An the sequel to a dispute between a y sailor and a lamp trimmer aboard the motor vessel Taranaki Joseph William Shields appeared before the magistrate to-day on a charge of haring assaulted Francis Powell by stabbing him with a knife, both men being under the influence of drink at the time. After the hearing of the evidence accused was committed for trial at the next sitting of the Supremo Court.
