ST. CLAIR WOMEN'S CLUB
“One of t'Jio best” is the only way to describe the evening a t’the'St. Clair Wonm’s Club last Monday, when Mrs Lovo and' Miss -Thompson had arranged an excellent programme given by'members. The stage looked well with its artistic decorations and three pianos. In her remarks at the close of the programme Mrs J. Wilson, president, mentioned that it is gratifying to find so much talent amongst the members. The items were a play reading, ‘The New Portia,’ by Mrs Hervey and Mrs Thomson; recitations by Miss Nowhold; musical monologues by Mrs L; Withers and Mrs 1). Barton; a Mark Twain reading by Mrs Malone; songs by Miss Malcolm and Miss Nancy MTntyre; and a glee song, ‘ Water Lilies,’ by Mesdames M'lntyre, Palmer, Barton, and Miss M'lntyro. The instrumental : items were given by Mrs Payne and Miss Sparrow, violin duet; Miss Harraway and Miss Pickerell, piano duo; and Miss Griggi piano solo. Miss Harraway was an efficient accompanist.
