THE FIRST BATTALION BAND
On Sunday night the Band of the First Battalion, Otago Regiment, will give the second of its series of Sunday night concerts in His Majesty’s Theatre. The band has been fortunate in again securing the services of Mr Arthur Lungley as vocalist. Another feature of the programme will be the piccolo solo (with full band accompaniment) of Bandsman C. Gibbons. The remainder of the programme consists of full band items, amongst which may be mentioned Braga’s ‘ Angel’s Serenade,’ the tone poem ‘ Finlandia ’ (Sibelius), and Auber’s overture ‘Crown Diamonds.’ As usual Lieutenant LW O. Asten will be conducting.
