ST. KILDA BAND AND CHOIR
At the Princess Theatre, to-morrow night, the above band and choir will give their fortnightly concert. Hie band is fortunate in securing the services of Miss Hilda Scurr, an elocutionist of high standing, whose appearance to-morrow will be her last before leaving for Australia to join up with the Allan Wilkie Company. Miss Valda M'Curdy will sing ‘ Bird bongs at Eventide,’ and Mr George Proctor ‘Morning.’ Mr George Christie mil play Riddle’s 1 Abide With Mens a cornet solo, with full band accompaniment. Mr Leslie Croft (Australia s champion mouth organist) will play selections from popular operas. Iho ladies of the St. Kilda Band Choir will contribute a three part song, ‘Ring Out Wild Bells,’ the solo being taken by Miss Ray Stubbs, and the duet bv Mrs and Miss Coventry. Hie band will play the overture ‘John o Gaunt’ and a very beautiful arrange-' ment of Irish folk songs m the selection ‘lrish Melodics.’ The whole of tho proceedings will bo under the couductorship of Mr James Dixon.
