MAGISTRATE’S COURT
MOSGIEL, JUNE 15. (Before Mr J. R. Bartholomew, S.M.) The following business was transacted at the Mosgiel Court yesterday:— Alexander Gray, for riding a motor cycle without having a driver’s license, was fined 10s and costs (10s); Eric Albert Balloch, for a similar offence, was fined 10s and costs (10s). Two charges against Gordon William Rutherford of failing to attend drill were withdrawn. Maxwell Gordon, for having in his possession two trout under 9iu in length, was convicted and _ fined £2, court costs (10s), and solicitor’s fee (£2 2s). Similar charges against Agnes Gordon and Alfred Keen were withdrawn. Charles Woodford, Ashley Burgess, and Terrence Woodford pleaded not guilty to fishing in the Kaikorai Stream with a net. Inspector Pellett gave evidence for the prosecution. The charges were dismissed. J. B. Kirkland (Mr Bayne) was charged wdth setting a net in the Kaikorai Stream He pleaded not guilty. Decision was reserved. Mr R. Sinclair appeared for the Acclimatisation Society. CIVIL CASES. Harold I. North (Mr W. G. Hay) v Thomas Moyniban (Mr A. G. Neill), claim £37 11s, for installing a wireless set. This case had been before the court last court day. Judgment was given for the defendant, with costs, witnesses’ expenses (£3 12s Sd), and solicitor’s fee (£2 2s). Ruby Wylie (Mr G. L. Calvert) v. Dorothy Bryant, claim £6. Judgment for the amount claimed, costs (18s 6d). Charles Geary (Mr C. L. Calvert) v. Charles Albert Timblick. claim £26 ■3s, on a judgment summons. An order was made to pay £5 every three months, the first payment to be made On June 30. Kenneth M’Neill v. W. Renwick, claim £l3 12s 7d, for goods_ supplied. Judgment for the amount claimed, with court coste (£2 16s),
