ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS
SUDDEN COLLAPSE. J. H. Scott, aged sixty-two, senior wharf hand at Timaru, expired suddenly at 10 o’clock last night when handing in his time-sheet at the conclusion of loading a vessel. The deceased had been working all day, was apparently, in good health, and had not complained of feeling unwell. SUDDEN DEATH. Charles Paku ' Pitt, a waterside worker, collapsed yesterday while engaged working coal in a vessel .at the wharf. After filling a basket he fell,' with the remark “I’m finished,” and expired immediately.—Gisborne Press Association telegram.
