The half-yearly meeting of the D.C-C. and Drainage Board Employees’ Sick Benefit Society was held in the Y.M.C.A. on Monday. Mr J. Halford presided over a good 'attendance of members. A good deal of correspondence was dealt with. - The secretary reported on sick members, and stated that £BO 15s had been paidout in sick pay, and £25 in death claims for the last six months. The balance-sheet was read and adopted, and the balance in band was shown as £147 3s 7d, the membership standing at 276.
