Official War Office advices state that it is practically certain that Chang Tso-lin is dead, although there is no positive confirmation. < Meantime Manchuria is quiet, with indications that an agreement wll be reached by which the Nationalists will occupy Tientsin without bloodshed, although there may bo some looting and sporadic fighting by the retiring North-' ecu troops. Chang Chung is leaving Tientsin forthwith, and going northward, where he may join the Fengtien forces, which are now concentrating southward of Shanhaikwan.—Australian Press Association.
