BOWLING
The annual meeting of the ladies’ section of tho North-east Valley Bowling Club was held in the pavilion on Tuesday afternoon. There was a good attendance of members, the meeting being one of tho most enthusiastic yet held. ’ The report and balance-sheet were read and adopted. It was decided to hand over tho sum of £ls to tho men’s section. A hearty vote of thanks to tho retiring president, Miss AI. Gray, for her able and efficient services during the past season was carried by acclamation. The following of-fice-bearers were appointed:—President, Airs S. C. Lawson; vice-presi-dents, Airs Coulter and Alias A. Gray; secretary, Airs J. C. Rigby; treasurer, Mrs Bennett; committee—Alesdames Keates, Wright, and Vivian; selector, Mrs Sneeston; delegates to centre, Mcsdames Duncan and Lawson; supervisors club ties—Airs Chapman and Alisses A. and AI. Gray.
