In the Magistrate's court Henry Patrick Moore, aged thirty-eight, pleaded guilty to eight (.‘barges of breaking and entering various houses early this month and committing theft. The police said that accused travelled round as a tinker to gain entrance. He broke the leadlights over doors or windows, and then loosed the catch. In all, he had Liken £IOO worth of goods and jewellery from eight houses. He was caught in the act at a Sydenham house. Accused was committed for sentence, no bail being applied for.
