In the House of Commons Mr Baldwin, in answer to Lord CavendishBentinck, said that no useful purpose would bo served in calling a conference of coal owners to discuss steps to reorganise the industry when they would leceive rate relief, which was' extraordinarily important to the coal industry; hut the Budget was designed to improve all industries.—Australian Press Association-United Service.
