[Brown attempted to commit suicide in Pentonville Prison (says the ‘Daily Express’). He tried to cut his throat with a piece of steel while in bed, indicting severe wounds, one being half an inch deep. A warder, on entering the condemned cell, ’noticed blood stains on the bedding, and summoned the governor and a doctor. Browne’s wounds were dressed, and he was carried in a weak condition to the prison hospital.]
