FIRST MEETING ON NEW COURSE. The Avondale Jockey Club’s Autumn Meeting opened in doubtful weather on its re-made track at Avondale, which was unaffected by the overnight rain. Won by a length. Time, Imin 30sec. Hobsonville Hurdles, 300sovs, 2m.— 2 Uralla (10.9) 1, 3 Lady Cintra (10.5) 2, 1 Lady Spalpeen (9.11) o. Scratched: Archibald, Kendal. Won by half a length; five lengths, lime, 3min 44 3-ssec. Foley Memorial, BOOsovs. l.{m. —10 Bransin (7.2, Cammick) 1, 1 Star Stranger (10.1, Reed) 2, 3 Town Bank (7.7, W. Jones) 3. Scratched: Le Choucas, 'True Blood, Alonsoa. Won by half a head. Time, 2min 6sec.
