TO-DAY’S CASH PRICES

The guide gives the prices ruling in the city shops to-day.

There is no alteration in the price of eggs. First grade arc 2s 7d a dozen, second grade 2s sd. Butter is selling at 1s 9d and 1s 7d.

Fruit is selling at:—Bananas, 10 for Is; Cox's Orange apples, 4J to 6d Ib; Winter Cole pears, 6d lb; other varieties, 4d; Californian lemons, 3d each; Valencia oranges, 3 and 4 for Is; hothouse grapes, 2s; dessert plums, 4d Ib; cooKiny plums, 4d Ib; grape fruit, 6d each; dessert peaches, 6d and Brt Ib; cooking peaches, 4d Ib.
