(Received April 12, at 10.2(1 a.m.) At the Labor Conference Air Willis submitted a motion that in order to relievo the parlous condition ol the coal industry the whole of the coal should be pooled, and that private selling agencies should bo abolished. He also suggested that a levy of Is per ton on all coal produced should be paid into a fund to provide work for unemployed minors. The motion also protested against further mining leases being granted to private enterprise. The motion was ruled out of order, but it will be discussed later.
