The next stages regarding the-Eng-lish Prayer Book arc—firstly, the House of Bishops’ revision, beginning on March 1; secondly, the joint session of both Houses of Convocation, beginning_ on March 28, at which it will bo decided if the measure will bo submitted to the Church Assembly; and, thirdly, the approval stage at the special session of tho Assembly on April 2G. THE DEAD STATESMAN LADY OXFORD CHOOSES LAST RESTING PLACE LONDON. February 18. Lady Oxford and Asquith visited the old churchyard at Sutton-Conrtney, and chose the spot where her husband will lie. It is a quiet corner a few yards from the chancel wall, under the shade of great yew tree. There are clusters of snowdrops growing nearby, while the graves of humble folk surround the last resting place of the great statesman. ’ihe" funeral on Monday will be attended only by relatives and closest personal friends. Over 4,000 messages of sympathy, including one from Mr J. G. Coates, Prime'Minister of New Zealand, have been received.—A. and N.Z. Cable. AUSTRALIA’S TRIBUTE APPRECIATED. LONDON, February 17. Mr Baldwin, replying to Mr Bruce’s message, says; ‘‘l desire, on behalf of up foiTow-countrymen, to express warm thanks for the sympathy of tho Government and. people of the Commonwealth on the death of Lord Oxford and Asquith. We greatly appreciate the nigh tribute to his notable services to the Empire in peace and war.” CABINET LETTER TO COUNTESS. LONDON, February 19.
