RAILWAY TRAIN DERAILED
WAS THERE A CONSPIRACY ? Press Association—By Telegraphs Copyright. OTTAWA, January 30. (Received January 31, at 11.15 a.m.) A train bringing President Cosgrave to Ottawa from Philadelphia was derailed at Limoges. Mr Cosgrave and his party were uninjured, but one member of tho train’s crew was killed and several injured It is believed that the engine of the train ran into an open switch. Officials of the Canadian Nal tional Railways sent a special train to bring Mr Cosgrave thirty miles to Ottawa. Reports that (he disaster constituted an attemp on Mr Cosgrave’s life caused secre service officers to rush mounted police to the scene of the disaster. They were under orders to make complete investigation in order to determine whether someone had tampered with tho switch.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
