HIS LAST SPEECH
Lord Haig’s last speech to tho Boy Scouts on Saturday struck an Empire note. He said: “It is essential that our young people should bo taught tho meaning of tho Empire and the sacrifices our fathers made. Therefore, I appeal to you hoys always to play tho game, to try to realise what citizenship and public spirit really mean. When you grow up always remember that you belong to a great Empire. Stand up and defend England when people talk disrespectfully of it.”
