BOROTRA IN FORM. Pres* Association—By Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, January 30. At the Australian championships, in the singles Borotra beat Sproule (New South Wales), 6-2, 6-0, 6-3. In the doubles Boussus and Kalms beat Colvin and Sproule (New South Wales), 6-1, 6-3, 6-4. The courts were fast and true. Borotra, who was iu his usual irresistible form, took the net at every opportunity. At the start of the game the pace forced him into occasional errors, but lie soon settled down, and played a careful, aggressive volleying game. In the doubles Borotra and Brugnon meat Corram and Munns, 8-6, 6-U, 6-3. In the final of_ the women’s doubles championship Miss Boyd and Miss Akhurst (New South Wales) beat Miss Le Messurier and'Miss Weston (South Australia), 6-3, 6-1.
