ROWING
HAMILTON REGATTA. The Hamilton Rowing Club’s Anniversary Day regatta was held yesterday on the Waikato River in fine weather. The principal results were:— Junior Fours.— I Tauranga 1, St. George’s and Whangarei (dead heat) 2. Won by two lengths. Senior Challenge Fours and Ladies’ Challenge Cup.—Hamilton (B. Sanders, V. Bayly, 6. St. Clair, E. Waters) 1, St. George’s 2, Waitemata 3. Won by five lengths. These were the only starters. _ „ ■ ' Handicap Single Sculls.—R. Cruickshank (65sec) 1, I. W. St. Clair 2, C. Molesworth 3. All were Hamilton oarsmen. Won by one length. _ Four picked crews rowed in two eight-oar trials, which provided an excellent race, and the first of the kind ever seem on the Waikato.
