(Received January Jl, at 9 a.m.) Further disturbances at Darweu culminated in riotous scenes after service at St. Cutbbort’s, necessitating the polic© protecting the vicar and his colleague from a. crowd of 2,000, which held up the traffic. P.ersonal conflicts marked the service after the interrupters had snug hymns and disorganised the proceedings. The vicar eventually called in the police, who took names, while the clergy and choir sought refuge in the vestry, the protesters chanting tho National Anthem.
