THIEF AND GENDARME KILLED

BUDAPEST, January 27. (Received January 29, at 5.5 p.m.)
Experts met when a gendarme was attempting to arrest an armed robber. The gendarme aimed his rifle at the man, who drew a revolver, and both fired simultaneously. Both were killed.
