LIVERPOOL CATHEDRAL
A PROTESTANT DEMONSTRATION.
Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright,
LONDON, January 28. Emulating Luther at the church at Wittenberg, the Rev. H. Longbottom, Protestant Reform pastor, accompanied by a Baptist minister and other supporters, went to Liverpool Cathedral and nailed on the notice board a printed protest against the Prayer Book revision and the Malines Conversations. The canon of the cathedral vainly reasoned with Mr Longbottom to remove the document, but it was soon taken down.
