BALKAN INTRIGUES
ALLEGATIONS AGAINST JUGOSLAVIA THE MUSSOLINI TOUCH Tress Association—By Telegraph—Copyright ROME, January 29. (Received January 30, at 10 a.m.) The journal in which the Fascist official communications appear publishes a note declaring that Italy has postponed for six months her denunciation of the Italian-Jugo-Slav Treaty of friendship as a proof of Italy’s good faith, despite the fact that Jugo-Slavia in the past four years has not displayed goodwill, but, on the contrary, has taken every opportunity of organising anti-Italian and anti-Fascist demonstrations. Even tho politicians’ speeches have been hostile, while the newspapers have unanimously calumniated the Italian army and people. The Jugo-Slav army has prepared directly against Italy, and Jugo-Slav Imperialism claims Italian territory from Pola to Udine. JugoSlav Italophobia reached a paroxysm after the signature of the France-Jugo-Slav Treaty. Jugo-Slavia has now six months to give a new turn to its policy towards Italy, that great nation which can wait, not fearing the events of the future.
